What started out as a bit of a jinxed sailing ended up being a delightful experience for all.

Originally booked on the Carnival Horizon we were saddened to be notified that the Horizon was having propulsion issues and would have to be dry docked for repairs.

After a few weeks we were notified that we would be sailing on the Sunshine with the same itinerary. Okay, not a big deal, smaller ship but hey a cruise is a cruise.

The next notification we received was that the smaller ship was going to have to change some ports. La Romana, Dominican Republic was dumped. Okay, cancel that excursion. No big deal.

Once we were at sea it didn’t take long to discover that the mighty little Sunshine was also having propulsion issues.
